What is indoor climbing?
Indoor rock climbing is exploding worldwide. On purpose built walls, climbers use artificial hand holds to climb and train; rain hail or shine, day and night. It’s a great way to stay fit and active, while having loads of fun.
Who does it?
All ages can climb and abseil, most children begin at about 5, adults right up to 88 years (currently The Edge’s oldest ever climber).
Do I need past experience?
No. Anyone can climb and abseil, there is no experience needed! You are trained by professional instructors until you feel competent.
How high can you climb?
Indoors, the average wall range is from 6 to 12 metres (but at The Edge, our highest is 18 ½ metres!) you only have to climb as high as wish, when your ready to come down, let your belayer know, and down you come, it is as simple as that…

The Adventure Party is the perfect party for your child if they love excitement and climbing!
Your accompanying Party Host will ensure your party runs smoothly to make your child’s special day one to remember for years to come!
During the two hours of climbing, the children will participate in games and activities run by your Party Host, including our famous High Ropes Course.
The final half hour is spent upstairs in our private Party Room where you can enjoy food organised by yourselves or by us – whatever is easiest for you!
If that’s not enough, the party participants have unlimited access to climbing for the day, starting after the party has finished!
